          Papayas are very helpful for the prevention of atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease. Papayas are an excellent source of the powerful antioxidants vitamin C and vitamin A (through their concentration of pro-vitamin A carotenoid phytonutrients)

Heart Diseases: The fiber, potassium and vitamin content in papaya will help to appease the heart diseases. By increasing intake of potassium along with a decrease in sodium will become the most important dietary change that a person can  reduce their risk of heart disease.When cholesterol becomes oxidized it gets stick to and build up in blood vessel walls by forming dangerous plaques that can eventually cause heart attacks or strokes.
                              These nutrients will help to prevent the oxidation of cholesterol. One way in which dietary vitamin E and vitamin C may exert this effect is through their suggested association with a compound called paraoxonase .Papaya contains rich in fiber,which helps to lower high cholesterol levels.The folic acid found in papayas are needed for the conversion of a substance called homocysteine into benign amino acids such as cysteine or methionine. If it is unconverted, then homocysteine will directly damages blood vessel walls and if levels get high,then it is considered a significant risk factor for a heart attack or stroke.

Cancer:Consumption of the powerful antioxidant beta-carotene which is found in papayas will develop colon cancer (shown an inverse association).In younger men  prostate cancer can be prevented by  beta-carotene which is rich in papayas

 Macular Degeneration: By eating 3 or more servings of fruit per day may lower your risk of age-related Macular Degeneration (ARMD).Intake of vegetables, antioxidant, vitamins and carotenoids were not strongly related to the incidence of either form of ARMD, intake of fruits will definitely protect against the vision-destroying disease. The antioxidant zeaxanthin, found in papaya will filters out harmful blue light rays and is thought to play a protective role in eye health and prevents from Macular Degeneration.

Diabetes: Type 1 diabetics who consumes high-fiber diets will lower the blood glucose levels and Type 2 diabetics may improve blood sugar, lipids and insulin levels.By consuming papaya can control the sugar levels and blood glucose levels
